Research topic: salt-affected soils

   - large-scale variability of soil and plant properties on salt-affected areas both under cultivation and in natural state

   - use of remote sensing techniques, such as aerial photography and field reflectometry for the characterization, reclamation and utilization of salt-affected soils

   - description of the interrelationships and large-scale variability of salt-affected soils for the enhancement of the sampling and mapping of these soils, using multivariate statistical methods and different estimation procedures

   - formation of salt-affected soils at various spatial scales
